`!OSS/J`! (a.k.a. `!OSS through Java`!) is a `F33f`_`[TM Forum`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=TM_Forum]`_`f`:cite-ref-1[`F5bf`_`[1`#cite-note-1]`_`f] technical program whose primary goal is to develop open interface standards (`F33f`_`[APIs`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Application_programming_interface]`_`f) for the integration of `F33f`_`[Business Support Systems`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Business_Support_Systems]`_`f (BSS) & `F33f`_`[Operations Support System`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Operations_Support_System]`_`f (OSS).

OSS/J addresses the concerns of `F33f`_`[Frameworx`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Frameworx]`_`f implementation stakeholders by providing open standard APIs based on the NGOSS framework, particularly the `F33f`_`[Frameworx Shared Information/Data Model`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Frameworx_Shared_Information/Data_Model]`_`f (SID). Work is underway to organize the OSS/J APIs against the NGOSS `F33f`_`[Telecom Application Map`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Telecom_Application_Map]`_`f (TAM).

The OSS/J APIs are multi-technology based and include `F33f`_`[Java`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Java_platform]`_`f, `F33f`_`[XML`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=XML]`_`f, and `F33f`_`[Web Services`:/page/wikibook/entry.mu`zim=wikipedia_en_all_nopic_2025-08.zim|entry_path=Web_Services]`_`f integration profiles. Each integration profile consists of specifications, a reference implementation, and a conformance test suite (TCK).
